A BG Christmas card from 2004 by our lovely daughter Gina and Karl Cossio

IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU

Six or seven years ago, Bob was digging deep into his wood supply and found a European top and back that he'd been coddling for well over a decade. He discovered they had exceptional potential due to the straight, tight grain and classic flame pattern. Designating it super-select, he started turning it into an 18" Cremona.
But other orders came up, there were flights to Corona and Nashville, a trip to Europe, a move to Savannah, starting a new factory, etc. So he set the top & back aside and focused on other tasks. Last month, he stumbled onto them and began carving again. The guitar is currently at the stage where he is jointing the top to the back and sides and finishing the 1 3/4" x 25" neck with a beautiful amboyna burl faceplate. Now we have a CREMONA in the making that is at the perfect point to customize! We can turn this into your personally customized one-of-a-kind Cremona model if you move quickly! You can select the inlay motif, finish color, hardware, and electronic (or acoustic) appointments. Each week Bob will move forward, choosing the path of this guitar unless someone wants to give him personal guidance!
Bob has built only a handful of 18" Cremonas in his lifetime. Contact Howard at hpaul@benedettoguitars.com to discuss the completion of this amazing and rare instrument to your specifications!
